Learn How to Repair Audio in Post Production Masterclass

David Barber recently had the pleasure of supervising and mixing a film called Paper Spiders written by Inon and Natalie Shampanier and also directed by Inon. The film is about Melanie, a teenager played by Stefania Owen who is learning of and coming to grips with her single mother's mental health issues, played by Lily Taylor.
The performances are wonderful, and the film still enjoys a 100 certified fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Last year in the two-part video Telling Stories with iZotope RX, we looked at using RX Post Production Suite 6 as a storytelling tool for the film, the killing of two lovers and how we separated elements from production sound with the purpose of expanding the sonic narrative of the film.
In this video, we'll explore a scene from the film Paper Spiders and how the delicate power of iZotope RX can turn a scene with audio that at first listen seems unfixable into an audibly clean, professional scene. Watch the audio repair masterclass below.
This article references a previous version of RX. Learn about RX 10 and its powerful new features like Dynamic Adaptive Mode in RX De-hum, improved Spectral Recovery, the new Repair Assistant, and more.
