What is Auto Level Mode?

Auto Level Mode is an exciting new feature in Nectar 3 that adjusts the level of your vocal in real-time, eliminating the need for corrective dynamics, hand drawn automation and riding the fader. Watch the video below for examples and tips on how to use it.

Engage Vocal Assistant for auto levelling

The moment you press "next" after choosing your desired Vibe and Intensity settings, Vocal Assistant listens to the incoming vocal signal and sets Nectar 3’s input fader to normalize the vocal signal it is hearing to a suitable range. Once the optimal input level is set, the Auto Level Mode is engaged.

Default RMS target

Auto Level Mode is positioned at a default target RMS of -8 dB. This is a suitable level not only for providing sufficient headroom, but also for non-linear processing like saturation. Of course. you can change the default target of the Auto Level Mode by moving its position if you want more fine-tuning.

The complete suite

Don't forget, Nectar 3 is part of Music Production Suite, which gives you access to over thirty industry-standard plug-ins that interact across your session and provide time-saving assistive features, innovative new workflows, and cutting-edge visual analysis tools.
