Legendary reverb engines
Equinox is built on the legendary reverb engines from Exponential Audio's Stratus and Symphony, bringing both hyper-realistic and creative reverb sounds into a single plugin. Place your instruments, dialogue, and more into a real space, or get creative and take them into new worlds.
Dynamic adaptive unmasking
Featuring easy-to-use dynamic unmasking, Equinox carves out space for your reverb, ensuring your mix is clean and focused. Keep dialogue present, vocals and lead instruments up front in your mix, and more.
Overhauled preset exploration
It's never been easier to find the perfect starting point for your reverb. Quickly and easily explore over 1250 presets from Stratus and Symphony with an all-new preset browsing experience, letting you search by multiple keywords and save your presets for later.
Refinable reverb character
The beauty of algorithmic reverb is that every aspect of your sound is yours to tweak. Dive into the advanced controls to sculpt the perfect space for any project and open the Balance tab to easily adjust and automate your reverb in surround audio formats.
Global tone control
Time is money, and sometimes you just need to make small adjustments and keep moving. Equinox's global tone control lets you apply a simple tilt EQ to your reverb signal, offering a quick way to make your reverb darker or brighter to match your needs.
Creative reverb effects
Whether you're working on a music mix or sound design for film/TV, Equinox has tons of features to make your reverb more unique. Experiment with creative "unnatural" functions like reverb Freeze for infinite drones, Chorus, and Gate, and use tempo sync and tail suppression to ensure that your reverb sits musically in the mix.
Preset compatibility
Ready to upgrade? Save any custom Stratus or Symphony patches as user presets, then import your entire Stratus and Symphony preset libraries into Equinox in one click. Take your old favorites to new heights with adaptive unmasking, global tone control, and more.
Hear Equinox in action
Whether it's turning ADR into realistic scene dialogue, adding depth to vocals and instruments in a mix, or creating ethereal space for SFX and score elements, Equinox has you covered. [cta label="Before/After" link="https://www.izotope.com/products/plasma?tab=listen" title="Before/After"]
I think Equinox is a tremendous sounding and versatile reverb. The amount of control you have over every parameter is astonishing. There's a beautifully neutral quality to the reverb engine. No matter what kind of space you dream up for your sound source, Equinox manages to keep it sounding transparent.
Jacob Shea, Composer (Planet Earth II, Blue Planet II, Pagan Peak)
I absolutely love Equinox. It has a smoothness which I can't replicate with any other reverb. It tails out perfectly and precisely with music and even dialogue. For me it's the surgical solution, when I'm looking for something algorithmic that will decay evenly and musically.
Harrison Meyle, Emmy Award-Winning Sound Editor (Barry, The Beatles: Eight Days A Week - The Touring Years)
Equinox is an incredible-sounding surround reverb that gives you the ability to shape a sound quickly and dramatically. This is a powerful, world-conjuring device.
Dean Hurley, Supervising Sound Editor/Re-Recording Mixer (Twin Peaks, Inland Empire)
Equinox is one of the most powerful and incredible-sounding reverbs I've ever heard or owned. This is an absolute must-have tool for every sound designer and post-production studio. I was blown away by how quickly and effortlessly I could transform my sound design recordings—giving them new life and taking them to an entirely new dimension. It's truly remarkable.
Robert Dudzic, Sound Designer (Bad Boys: Ride or Die, The Tattooist of Auschwitz, HAGEN, Carry-On)
Equinox is quickly becoming my go to Reverb for its Plate. It sounds so lush!
Jason King, Sound Editor/Mixer (Yellowstone, A Star Is Born, Sicario, American Sniper)

Add realistic ambience to dialogue, SFX, and more
In the example below, the wind and crashing waves on-set required dialogue to be re-recorded as ADR. We used Equinox to bring this to life, and drove the emotion of the scene home with a haunting vocal line by Abby Carey.

Equinox FAQ
How do I load presets from Stratus, Symphony, or the 3D versions of these two plugins in Equinox?
To import Exponential Audio Stratus and Symphony User Presets into Equinox, go to Settings in Equinox and click the Migrate Legacy Presets button. Migration can be run multiple times if you create new legacy presets later. Presets that have already been migrated will be ignored on subsequent runs.
What’s happening to the most recent Exponential Audio reverb plugins with this release?
Stratus, Symphony, and the 3D versions of these plugins are no longer available for direct purchase, but they will still have full support for 1 year after the Equinox launch and you can always download their installers from our Legacy Products downloads page or access the user manual from our Product Manuals page.
Exponential Audio’s legendary tech remains a key part of the iZotope ecosystem. Equinox mirrors the Stratus and Symphony reverb engines 1-to-1, bringing them into one plugin for the first time and offering more functionality and flexibility with dynamic unmasking and an easier preset browsing experience. Bringing the Exponential Audio tech into the iZotope codebase makes it available for plugins like Equinox and is easier to support longterm.
