Why Upgrade to VocalSynth 2?

Why upgrade to VocalSynth 2? Read the top reasons, including the new Biovox module, better performance and sounds, and inter-plugin communication.

We’re excited to bring you the newest version of VocalSynth! Since the release of VocalSynth 1 in 2016, we’ve been gathering feedback and ideas from our customers to provide an even better experience in the latest iteration. As part of VocalSynth 2, we’re pleased to introduce a new module, new and improved FX, deeper control and customization of each module, inter-plugin communication capabilities, enhanced stereo processing functionality, and optimizations in sound quality and CPU performance.

If you already own VocalSynth 1, read on to find out what’s new in VocalSynth 2.

Reason 1: Biovox

Biovox is a completely new effect designed to allow you to manipulate your biological imprint. Using scientific modeling of a human vocal tract, Biovox allows you to adjust human vocal characteristics like nasality, vowel shapes, and formants for a smooth, textural vocal treatment to any audio signal. Use it surgically to adapt takes to better fit your production, or apply it as a creative effect to make a vocal more present, breathy, or totally mangle it!

Reason 2: Better performance, better sounds

We’ve re-engineered VocalSynth to sound better, perform better, and provide a better result faster. In addition to making improvements to CPU utilization and providing extensive sonic enhancements within the modules, we’ve added Advanced controls to each module to allow for almost infinite tweakability.

VocalSynth 2 also includes a brand new, modern interface with a fluid, evolving and interactive visualization we call “The Anemone.” Add in over 160 new presets for a variety of genres and applications and you have some really killer sounds within several clicks of opening the plug-in.

Reason 3: It’s now a stompbox playground

We’ve added several improvements and effects to the stompbox section of VocalSynth. A common request from customers of version one was to reorder the effects, which you can now do by clicking and dragging each effect.

We’ve also added two new effects: Chorus, a commonly used vocal effect in modern vocal production, and Ring Mod, a fun ring modulator with a hint of tremolo. We’ve also made extensive improvements to Shred, making it even more powerful for those chopping, slicing, beat repeating effects.

Reason 4: Inter-plugin communication with Ozone 8 and Neutron 2

If you own Music Production Suite, Ozone 8 or Neutron 2, you’ll be able to take advantage of inter-plugin communication capabilities with VocalSynth 2. VocalSynth 2 now works within the ecosystem of iZotope products allowing seamless integration within Neutron 2’s Visual Mixer and Masking Meter and also within Tonal Balance Control, allowing you to interact and get visual feedback in real time.
