Pixels and frequencies, now under one roof: Both Boris FX and iZotope share an obsession with high-quality engineering and smart, assistive tech. Boris FX has spent decades building industry-standard visual tools like Mocha and Sapphire, while iZotope has pioneered intelligent audio repair and mastering with RX and Ozone. Bringing these teams together means stronger, deeply integrated workflows to finish any project.
Everything we need to innovate: Boris FX has a long track record of acquiring foundational industry tools – such as Mocha, Sapphire, and Silhouette – and making them better through strong development support. This merger gives our research teams the long-term resources and stability to push what’s possible in next-generation audio technology.
No audio data mining: Alexey Lukin addressed privacy directly, clarifying that iZotope's machine learning models are strictly trained using licensed datasets and in-house proprietary recordings. User audio sessions are never monitored or mined to train AI.
Deterministic, forensic-grade reliability: For our users in audio forensics, the algorithms in RX 12 remain strictly deterministic – meaning running the same track through the same module twice will output identical results. Plus, RX 12 avoids "generative hallucinations," ensuring you are repairing real data, not inventing it.

What happens to my current iZotope licenses and support?
All iZotope products, licenses, and subscriptions remain fully active, with uninterrupted support. As we transition from Native Instruments to Boris FX, we may have some changes to your customer experience, like account logins or installation tools. We will be working hard to make any future changes as smooth as possible, and will be sure to communicate any changes well in advance.
Is iZotope moving to a subscription-only model?
No. While we want to offer the best value and flexibility possible for users who prefer our subscription bundles, we are completely committed to keeping perpetual licenses available. You will always have a choice in how you pay for and own your software.
Will iZotope pivot to only supporting video/post-production users?
Not at all. While RX is a foundational powerhouse in post-production, tools like Ozone, Nectar, and Neutron remain vital pillars of our portfolio. We are fully committed to continuing development for bedroom producers, music creators, and mix/mastering engineers.
Are there immediate integration plans between iZotope and other Boris FX audio tools?
It is still very early days (week two of the partnership!), so there are no concrete roadmaps yet. However, our product teams are incredibly excited about the future possibilities.
