Logic Plug-in Scanner Failing for Stutter Edit

February 1, 2018

There is a known issue with Apple Logic Pro X on MacOS High Sierra 10.13.2 which prevents Logic from validating the MIDI-controlled Effect component of Stutter Edit when scanning for plug-ins.

To resolve this, please download and install the most current version of Stutter Edit from our Downloads page.

After installing please be sure to clear your plug-in cache to rescan for the AU MIDI-Controlled Effect portion of Stutter Edit by following these steps:

  1. Close all applications
  2. Click on the Go menu
  3. Hold down the option key to show the hidden user library
  4. Click on library then find the caches folder and click on it
  5. Locate the logic folder. When you open this folder, there will be a file named logicpro1032 (or whatever number version of logic you're running)
  6. click and drag this file to your desktop

Open logic again this will force the program to rewrite all your plug-ins to this files making it rescan everything including failed AU's.
