Shafer Joins iZotope As Director Of Product Management
Media product veteran Hart Shafer joins iZotope from Adobe Systems Incorporated.
AES, New York, NY (October 9, 2009) – iZotope, Inc., a leading developer of audio signal processing tools and effects, announces the addition of media product veteran Hart Shafer to the position of Director of Product Management. Shafer joins iZotope from Adobe Systems Incorporated and will be tasked with the worldwide responsibility for strategy and design of iZotope's technology and products.

Educated in physics and mathematics at Macalester College, and a long-time media product management veteran, Shafer brings a unique mix of experience to iZotope. Previously, he held various roles at Syntrillium Software, including product manager for Cool Edit 2000, Cool Edit Pro, and the rest of the Syntrillium line. When Adobe acquired Syntrillium in 2003, Shafer transitioned to take on product management of Adobe's audio efforts including Adobe Audition® and Soundbooth®, and then Creative Suite Production Premium and unannounced projects in the Dynamic Media Organization.
Shafer and his iZotope colleagues will be on hand at the AES show in booth #427 featuring demos of the ANR-B realtime adaptive noise reduction hardware and the new product Alloy, a suite of essential mixing tools.
