Cakewalk Licenses iZotope Radius Technology
iZotope Radius time-stretching and pitch-shifting included in SONAR 6 Producer Edition.
Cambridge, MA (October 5, 2006) – IZOTOPE, INC. is today announcing that Cakewalk, the world's leading developer of powerful and easy to use products for music creation and recording, has licensed iZotope Radius™ technology to make it available as a standard feature integrated into SONAR 6 Producer Edition, Cakewalk's flagship product for music creation and production.
"For SONAR 6 Producer Edition, we developed AudioSnapâ„¢, to provide our users with a suite of the best professional audio timing tools available," said Alex Westner, SONAR Product Manager. "The iZotope Radius time stretching algorithms integrate tightly into this feature set, providing unmatched sound quality that our customers demand and expect," added Westner.
iZotope Radius' world class pitch-shifting and time stretching algorithms are designed to preserve natural timbres even with extreme use. Large time stretches and pitch shifts can be accomplished while maintaining the original acoustic space, transient attacks, and timing accuracy for a natural sound and feel.
Using an advanced hybrid method, Radius is able to preserve transients and sustained material at the same time. For example, when stretching a recording with sustained brass and pizzicato strings, Radius preserves continuity of the brass notes as well as the timing and attack characteristics of the strings.
Radius is designed for completely transparent operation on a wide variety of source material with nearly automatic operation and is well suited for both home studio use and industrial studio applications supporting sampling rates up to 192 kHz.
