Social Media Manager

We’re looking for an experienced communications professional with expertise in social media to build and expand the community around the iZotope brand.  You’ll build short and long-term strategies to continue strong community growth using all social media platforms and influencer relationships. You will lead organic social media conversations, and curate stories around all software and hardware products, including Spire.live. You will design and execute strategic social plans for upcoming releases, and will create regular reports on analytics including sentiment, reach and engagement across social media channels.

 

As a leader in a fast-paced communications team you’ll bring the know-how to make an impact and build a strong community with effective and engaging social media campaigns. You’ll have a bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field, and have at least four years of social media management and community building experience. Lastly, you’ll have a passion for music/audio production, or at least an understanding of the music and media industries that iZotope serves.

 

Responsibilities

As a curator, you will wrangle content from iZotope’s industry-leading education, marketing and content production teams, and you’ll work closely with the video production team, ensuring that video content grows in its reach and in its strategic support of the brand.

 

You’ll also originate compelling content designed specifically for social media channels, you’ll develop and maintain relationships with community influencers to grow social media followings. You’ll have an affinity for the music performers, mixers, engineers and film & TV pros who make up the iZotope audience.

 

You’ll be the expert on all things community and social media, working closely with the ecommerce, go-to-market and customer support teams. You’ll have expertise on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Linkedin and other organic social platforms. 

 

  • Create and execute strategic social media campaigns which align with the broader go-to-market strategy.
  • Collaborate with education, marketing, sales and event leadership teams to make best use of existing content and create a cohesive social media strategy.
  • Lead planning, scheduling and sharing of social media editorial calendar to ensure transparency and advocacy for wider brand goals. 
  • Present and win buy-in for social media campaigns and strategies with Communications team, and among the broader go-to-market team. 
  • Collaborate with the inhouse video production team to develop effective and engaging video content strategy across multiple social media channels.Employ your experience in a variety of formats including written, visual and video.
  • Be a team expert on best practice for all social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Linkedin and more. 
  • Work closely with customer support social media ‘agent’ to ensure any support issues are addressed appropriately. 
  • Work closely with ecommerce team on post boost testing / optimization, creative development, analysis and reporting. 
  • Conduct ongoing research into competitive strategies, social media trends and make recommendations for growth and brand building. 
  • Track, analyze, optimize and report on social media analytics on a regular basis, and use data to set objectives and key results. 

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
  • 4 years of social media management or community manager experience, preferably for a consumer electronics or audio brand or b2b company.
  • Expert in creating and executing community-focused social media campaigns
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with published professional social media work, long-form work is a bonus.
  • Hands-on copywriting skills to produce daily content customized to each platform
  • Experience building communities on, and deep knowledge of, all major social media platforms, particularly YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Linkedin.
  • Experience using analytics to measure and track community sentiment, reach, and engagement over time.
  • Hands on knowledge of social tools (e.g. analytic/scheduling tools such as Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Canvs, Facebook Analytics, etc.)
  • Design experience, or experience collaborating with design teams to ensure consistent branding.
  • Management and team-leading experience is a plus.
  • Passion for audio industry (Music/Film) is a must

 

This position is full-time and located in our Cambridge, MA office. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
