We’re excited to share some good news—RX 4 Advanced and Iris 2 have both won the Outstanding Technical Achievement award at the 31st annual Technical Excellence & Creativity (TEC) Awards!
Considered the “Oscars” of the pro audio and sound recording industry, TEC Awards honor excellence in sound technology and creativity. These prestigious awards, presented during the NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA, recognize the most outstanding products in the world of music making, live performance, video games, television and film.
The award for RX 4 continues our winning streak, which RX 3 began in 2014, in the “Signal Processing Software” category. RX is an audio repair and restoration toolkit that transforms flawed audio by removing noises, distortions, reverb, and other common audio problems.
iZotope CEO and co-founder Mark Ethier makes his acceptance speech, thanking customers like you!
Iris 2, our inspiring sample-based synthesizer, won this year in the “Musical Instrument Software” category. Iris 2 combines the power of a sampler, the flexibility of a modular synth, and unique spectral filtering. We were delighted—and a bit surprised—to take home our second win of the evening, as Mark demonstrates in his second acceptance speech.
We’re also proud to be one of only four companies who received double honors. We can now say that we’ve won five TEC awards over the years—also among the TEC Award-winning ranks are Ozone, our complete mastering system, and Insight, our essential metering suite.
“As we celebrate iZotope’s 15th birthday this year, all of us at iZotope are humbled to receive these two awards,” says Mark. “We thank our amazing community members who have helped shape our products over the years, as well as our industry peers and the TEC Award voters for their support.”
