We could tell you all about the different sounds you can create with Trash. The amps it emulates. The distortion pedals and stomp boxes it can model. The authentic tape delays and filters it provides. Or we could just let you hear a little bit of it for yourself.

Hope you enjoyed the examples, and as one of our favorite guitarists once said, "we hope we passed the audition."

If you have Trash, you can download the presets used for these examples.

A few remarks:
The guitar samples above were recorded direct into a PC, without any preprocessing or amplification. They were then processed with Trash - and only with Trash. No other effects. In particular, absolutely no reverb was used on the samples. Why? Reverb can make a good recording sound great, but it can also hide problems with a poor sound. We wanted to let you hear just pure, naked, beautiful Trash (with some Trash tape or analog delays when it fit the genre, but absolutely no reverb)

So when we say something like "this sample uses an Octavia for that "octave up" sound into a germanium transistor fuzz box model into a Marshall with some Echoplex tape delay" we mean we used Trash to model all of this gear.

Oh, and amplifiers, effects and other audio products modeled, described or compared in this document are mentioned for the sole purpose of identifying a product that was studied by iZotope or modeled by a preset and does not imply any cooperation or endorsement by the original manufacturer. Just to get that out of the way.
